Overview
Specialising in hand crafted handbags and accessories, Hariette Pearce needed a mark that exudes prestige while feeling effortlessly modern. The result? A beautifully balanced logo that's subtle yet striking, and classic yet contemporary.
Logo design
I began this project with a discovery call with Hariette to understand her needs and design preferences. We looked at a selection of logos together, discussing styles and design choices she liked or disliked. This allowed me to build a full picture of the types of logo she liked.
After refining the information I'd gathered from our conversation, it was clear that she wanted a sophisticated brand mark that was unique, abstract, and minimal.
After sketching rough ideas, I selected some to experiment with digitally.

I showed the client five initial concepts, of which she chose one to develop further. Hariette liked the brand mark from option one, and the typeface from option two.
To push the logo forward, based on Hariette's feedback, I integrated the letters in a slightly different way, using a swooping line through the centre to better emulate the initials H and P. This approach brought a new level of refinement and elegance to the logo.
I also adjusted the typography, customising the letter A to give it a slick and unique cross bar.

Hariette now has a chic new monogram to match her beautiful brand.
